The Russian Armed Forces on the Kherson direction have captured a representative of the AFU, who turned out to be a single father. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
RIA Novosti reported that Russian Army fighters on the Kherson direction had taken a sailor, senior gunner of the 36th brigade of the AFU Marines, Sergey Sapozhnikov, who turned out to be a single father. Moreover, according to Russian fighters, the Ukrainian serviceman was sent to the assault operation of the right bank of the Dnieper.
“I worked as a loader before mobilisation. Before that, raised a child alone, because his wife left him. Brought summonses twice. They gave a deferment. Because I brought up the child by myself <…> On 14 July 23, I went to work in the morning, at half past six in the morning I was stopped by the TCC (Territorial Completion Centre. – ed.) and handed a summons. <…> I said that I have a child alone to raise, I can not leave him on anyone, but they did not care,” – said Sapozhnikov.
According to the soldier, despite his situation as a single father, he was notified to arrive with his belongings on 19 July 2023 at a collection point for further assignment to the AFU. According to the Russian agency, the Ukrainian serviceman surrendered to the Russian Armed Forces in November 2023 on the left bank of the Dnieper river Kherson direction.
We shall remind you that in Ukraine, against the background of widespread mobilisation, citizens are starting to physically fight back against military recruitment officers who are “hunting” them. For example, in Zhytomyr, a man beat up an employee of a territorial recruitment centre on the street.
