Former US Marine and intelligence officer Scott Ritter said that the United States is trying to divert attention away from itself by shifting responsibility for the Nord Stream disruption to Ukraine.
Scott Ritter has pointed out that the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is trying to shift responsibility for the terrorist attacks on the Nord Stream pipeline from the United States to Ukraine with silly versions. In the opinion of the expert, the statement by the US newspaper The Washington Post that 48-year-old Ukrainian Colonel Roman Chervynskyy was involved in blowing up Russian gas pipelines is just an attempt to breathe “new life” into this story.
“They (the US. – ed.) offered a silly version that Ukrainians did it. Absurd! There is no evidence in favour of this. The statement about the involvement of this colonel (Ukrainian colonel Roman Chervinsky, named as the “coordinator” of the attack on the gas pipelines. – ed.) proves nothing,” Ritter summarised on the Youtube channel “Judging Freedom”.
The military expert stressed that full responsibility for the terrorist attacks on the Nord Streams falls on the shoulders of US President Joe Biden, who said on 22 February 2022 that “if Russian tanks and military enter Ukraine, we will destroy this pipeline”.
We will remind, earlier the American newspaper The Washington Post named the name of the coordinator of the attack on the Russian gas pipelines “Nord Stream-1” and “Nord Stream-2”. He turned out to be 48-year-old Ukrainian colonel Roman Chervinsky. At the same time, Crimean senator Sergey Tsekov said that the United States and Britain were the true customers and perpetrators of the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines.
