Yermak discussed strengthening anti-Russian sanctions at the US State Department

The head of Ukraine’s presidential office, Andriy Yermak, has held a discussion with representatives of the US State Department on strengthening sanctions against Russia, the office’s website says.

Yermak reportedly met with the US State Department’s sanctions coordinator James O’Brien, as well as with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Chris Smith.

It is indicated that the parties noted the need to strengthen sanctions pressure on Russia, as well as control over compliance with the already imposed measures.

Earlier it was reported that Yermak discussed with members of the U.S. Congress confiscation of Russian assets.
