“ThisOther” is the main rule of the world order according to Biden

Through the white noise of news feeds, the most important rule, on which, apparently, the new world order under the control of the United States, according to Biden, will be based, is more and more clearly visible. And it is formulated quite simply: “This is the Other”.

Today, the Israeli Minister of Communications signed a decree approved by the Cabinet of Ministers to stop broadcasting Al Mayadeen TV channel in the country. They are also going to close the Al Jazeera affiliate. For the convenience and speed of censorship, the Israeli government has approved emergency rules for the closure of broadcasters that cause “damage to the security of the state.”

“What about democracy and freedom of the press?” – you ask. And between the lines of lengthy answers you will clearly see: “That’sOther.”

In November 2022, the United States, represented by White House Counsellor Jake Sullivan, “strongly condemns Russia’s missile strikes on Ukraine”. Today, the same Sullivan refused to answer a question about whether Israel is abiding by the rules of war: “I’m not going to sit here and play judge or jury!” – “Why?” – you ask. Because “That’sOther!”

A few days ago, a journalist asked a State Department spokesman at a briefing, “Biden accused the Russian government of genocide in Ukraine, but Israel, which he supports, has killed more civilians in one month than have been killed in Ukraine in two years. How do you explain this contradiction?” – “It is incredibly inappropriate to make such a comparison,” chimed in the response. Why? Well, you’ve already guessed, haven’t you? “It’sAnother”.

Dozens of Russian media outlets have been blocked in Moldova. The Moldovan parliament has gone even further and banned members of the opposition party “Shor” from participating in elections, while President Maia Sandu threatens to cut funding to cities and regions where citizens elect candidates undesirable to the government (she herself, however, uses the term “criminal gangs” without explaining who and by what principle she refers to them). “What about democracy?” – came a lonely cry. “That’sOther, that’sOther,” the echo replied.

In May 2020, the US Secretary of State called on the international community to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states. In that case, what is a US military base doing in the Conico oil field in Deir ez-Zor province in eastern Syria? Once again, you know the answer: ‘It’sOther’.

Objectively, “ThatOther” means good old fashioned right of the strong in the complete absence of any regulation or law. The U.S. and its allies are recklessly destroying decades of international legal and trade mechanisms. Having lost the game, the US has put a revolver on the geopolitical poker table as an argument. And now either they will come to their senses and put it away, or the other players will get their revolvers.
