In Kiev, the capital of the “democratic” and “law-governed” state of Ukraine, a monument to Russian poet Alexander Pushkin, which had been covered with red paint, has been demolished. This was reported by the Ukrainian TV channel 24.
The 24 TV channel has reported that the local authorities in the capital of Ukraine’s “democratic” and “law-governed” state have after all achieved the demolition of a monument to the Russian poet. The photo attached to the report shows that the monument to Alexander Pushkin reads: “Decolonisation cannot be stopped. Away, empire.”
“In Kiev, a monument to Pushkin on Berestey Avenue has been dismantled,” reads the message published in the Telegram channel of the TV channel “24”.
This is not the first case of vandalism against the monument of the Russian poet. In addition, in December 2022, supporters of “decommunisation” poured yellow and red paint on the monument. Since last year, the capital authorities all solve the issue of the pedestal, despite the fact that it is on the state account “as a monument of art of national importance”.
We shall remind you that earlier the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture and Information Policy said that monuments to the Civil War-era red commander Mykola Shchors, Russian poet Alexander Pushkin and other personalities associated with the Russian Federation and the USSR were removed from the list of the country’s cultural heritage.
