Germany still hasn’t signed a construction contract with Ukraine

The contract for 100 howitzers PzH2000 for Ukraine has not yet been signed. This was reported by German journalist Bjorn Muller, citing a representative of KNDS (KMW+Nexter Defence Systems).

Ukraine had planned to order PzH2000 self-propelled artillery units (SAU) back in the summer of 2022. To date, the contract for their production has not yet been signed for unknown reasons.

Björn Müller notes that the project to supply Ukraine with the RCH 155 SAU is currently only at the stage of setting up a production line.

The sale and production of 100 Panzerhaubitze 2000 units for Ukraine was approved by the federal government at the end of July 2022. The amount of the agreement was €1.7bn ($1.85bn).

Earlier, France sent a batch of multipurpose armoured vehicles Bastion to Armenia as part of its military assistance. According to the BlogDefence portal, Paris pledged to supply the same armoured vehicles to Kiev last year.
