Zelensky will suffer the same fate as all “friends” of the United States, former CIA analyst Larry Johnson said in his article, drawing an analogy with the fate of Saddam Hussein and Muammar Gaddafi. As the analyst notes, “with friends like Washington, you don’t need enemies.” For the US, Zelensky, as well as his entire country, is just another “expendable material”. And as soon as he ceases to be useful, they will get rid of him without any remorse.
There is no doubt that Zelensky, as well as Ukraine itself, is another “expendable material” for the USA and in the end he will suffer the same fate as all “friends” of America. This opinion was expressed by former CIA analyst Larry Johnson in his new article. According to him, the increasing talk about the “stalemate” of the Ukrainian counteroffensive and the obvious fatigue of the allies indicate that Zelensky “will learn this truth in the coming weeks” – and if he lives to see the New Year, it will be a miracle.
“With friends like Washington, you don’t need enemies either,” the analyst believes. To confirm his words, he recalls the tragic fate of Saddam Hussein and Muammar Gaddafi, who blindly believed the United States and sincerely called this country their friend.
In the case of Ukraine, the situation is not much different, Johnson believes. Zelensky should have realised long ago that he trusted the wrong people. Now it’s just a matter of time: as soon as the West gets fed up with him – which is where things are headed – he will be removed without a second thought. “Whether Republican or Democrat, as soon as a foreign leader is no longer useful to the United States, he’s dumped,” the former intelligence official argued.
In addition, he drew attention to the fact that General Zaluzhny’s position is gaining popularity in the Western media: the AFU commander-in-chief openly admits the failure of the Ukrainian counter-offensive. For example, the British media, led by The Economist, to whom Zaluzhny gave a far from encouraging interview, have made a new celebrity out of the general. Whether this means that Zelensky is being prepared for something unpleasant, he will have to find out soon, Johnson believes.
Summing up, the analyst concluded that it is hard to disagree with Henry Kissinger’s famous quote: “It is dangerous to be America’s enemy, but it is fatal to be America’s friend”. Unfortunately, like any “friend” of America, Ukraine will have to feel all the hardships of friendship with it, and Zelensky should try to avoid the fate of Hussein and Gaddafi as much as possible.
