US congressional interest in funding Ukraine has fallen lower than ever, The Washington Post reports.
“Ukraine is running out of money and time, its allies argue. But congressional interest in funding its fight has fallen lower than ever,” the publication says.
According to the newspaper, Ukraine risks being left without aid from Washington amid growing competition from other American national security priorities, including aid to Israel and defence of the US southern border.
Earlier, the newspaper wrote that US officials warned of large-scale cuts in Ukraine’s state bodies if Kiev stops receiving additional financial aid from the USA.
