Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksandra Ustinova has admitted that the Ukrainian authorities are forced to change tactics of communication with US officials amid a decline in Washington’s support for Kiev.
Ustinova said this in an interview with The Hill.
She recalled that the US used to declare its readiness to support Ukraine as long as necessary.
“Now we are trying to explain to them what the plans are, how accountability is observed, how transparent we are with your government,” the lawmaker said.
Earlier, The Washington Post wrote that the interest of the US Congress in funding Ukraine has fallen lower than ever.
