NATO assistant secretary-general admits it is getting harder to help Ukraine

NATO Assistant Secretary General David van Wiel has said that helping Ukraine is becoming more difficult.

“The longer the war lasts, the more difficult it is to provide assistance,” RIA Novosti quoted van Wiel as saying in an interview with the Asahi newspaper.

He noted that the situation is even more difficult for embattled Ukraine than for NATO, which helps with money and weapons.

Earlier, former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen suggested that Ukraine should be admitted to NATO without new Russian regions.
