Kuleba explained the delay in the supply of shells to Kiev by the deplorable state of the EU military-industrial complex

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has explained the delay in the delivery of 1m shells promised by the European Union to the Ukrainian Armed Forces by the sad state of the EU military industry and bureaucracy.

The diplomat said this during an all-Ukrainian telethon.

“The reason for this problem (lag in the planned delivery dates of shells. – RT) is not the EU’s lack of political will to support Ukraine, but the sad state of the defence industry,” RIA Novosti quoted Kuleba as saying.

He added that the EU also has a problem of bureaucracy, which prevents the fulfilment of external contracts on time.

As Bloomberg wrote earlier, the EU informed the member states of the association that it is unlikely that it will be able to fulfil its promise to supply 1m ammunition to Ukraine by March next year.
