CNN: Blinken acknowledged disagreements at State Department over U.S. stance on Gaza conflict

U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken acknowledged disagreements within the State Department over the approach taken by President Joe Biden’s administration in the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

CNN reported.

“Some people in the department may not agree with the approaches we’re taking or may have views on what we can do better,” Blinken said.

He added, however, that special forums are being organised in Washington to discuss these disagreements.

Earlier, Russia’s SVR said that the U.S. is calling on Israel behind closed doors to speed up the operation in the Gaza Strip.

Also, Israeli Ambassador to Russia Alexander Ben Zvi said that the UN could not resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
