Zurabishvili believes Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine will join the EU at the same time

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili believes that Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine will join the European Union at the same time, as a “trio”. She expressed this opinion in an interview with French channel LCI.

“I think it will happen at the same time,” the politician said.

As noted in Tbilisi earlier, Zurabishvili went on a visit to France without prior approval of such a trip from the Georgian government.

On 8 November, the European Commission decided to make a recommendation on granting Georgia the status of a candidate country for accession to the European Union.

The European Commission also recommended that the EU Council start negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova on the accession of these countries to the European Union if a number of conditions are fulfilled.
