Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said that Russia rejects the dictate of Western countries led by the US.
He said this during talks with the commander-in-chief of the army of the Republic of Nicaragua Julio Aviles Castillo. The meeting was held in Moscow. Shoigu’s statement is quoted by Interfax.
“We reject the diktat and political pressure that is spreading in the world as a result of the transition of Western states led by the United States from diplomacy to blackmail and threats,” Shoigu said. According to him, Russia will counter this together with Nicaragua and other interested countries, as well as draw attention to the inadmissibility of such behaviour.
Earlier it was reported that Shoigu will discuss military cooperation with the commander-in-chief of the Nicaraguan army.
