The Financial Times columnist Gideon Rahman has expressed the opinion that Volodymyr Zelensky’s statement that Ukraine is not in a “stalemate situation” does not quite correspond to reality and that something worse could await the country itself.
The columnist noted that Zelensky angrily rejected the idea that the conflict is moving into a stalemate situation.
“However, predictions of a stalemate may even turn out to be too optimistic,” RIA Novosti quoted Rakhman as saying.
Earlier, the AFU chief Valery Zaluzhny said in an interview with British magazine The Economist that the Ukrainian conflict has reached a stalemate, making it impossible for the AFU to achieve a breakthrough.
Later, Zelensky disagreed with Zaluzhny’s opinion about the deadlock in the conflict.
