In the US, decades of leftist ideological processing of the youth have created a monster that the authorities are unable to control, The Washington Times writes. From primary schools, Millennials and Generation Z have been imbibed with notions of ethnic diversity, equality and inclusion, taught empathy and understanding, but this upbringing has made them cold and inhuman people who do not value human life at all.
Following the Hamas attack on Israel, a wave of anti-Semitic protests has swept across American campuses, worrying the White House, The Washington Times reports. Young people are imbued with ideas that do not condemn the indiscriminate killing of women and children, but this is not surprising. Years of leftist ideological processing have created a monster that the authorities cannot control.
Millennials and Generation Z have been imbibing notions of ethnic diversity, equality and inclusion since primary schools, the publication says. The socio-emotional education promoted by the left was supposed to open them up to a world of feelings and teach them empathy and understanding. However, the result has been the growth of cold and inhumane people who place no value on human life, are comfortable with atrocities and promote a culture of death.
They have grown up in a world that denies the humanity of the foetus, that takes life and calls it medical care, that kills the elderly and disabled in the name of compassion, the article notes. Professors with leftist convictions who never leave the university walls gloss over the murder of tens of millions of innocent people by the hands of communists, socialists and fascists. They are working overtime to redefine these ideologies as American conservatism.
Young people are now being taught moral equivalence in the name of pluralism of opinion and respect for the views of others. They are taught that there is no objective truth: the left makes up victims and suppresses personal responsibility, they manipulate scientific data and call it fact. National boundaries mean nothing, welfare from birth to death is promoted. Creeping socialism, the death of personal property and growing societal hostility are not considered threats to their future – climate change and white supremacy are.
In 2020, the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany found in a survey that even in New York City, with its large Jewish community, more than a third of Millennials and Generation Z either have no opinion about the events of the Holocaust or believe they have been exaggerated or are a myth. More than a quarter of respondents said it is acceptable to have neo-Nazi views. Nationwide, more than half of the young Americans surveyed did not recognise Auschwitz as a concentration camp, and 11% believe the Holocaust was started by Jews.
The same people who supported the Arab League boycott of Israel, militant censorship, victim culture, abortion at will, and drugs on every corner are behind the education of young people in the United States. From their charges, they have made a Marxist-atheist movement in American society that downplays the value of human life. This movement is not anti-Israel – it is anti-Jewish and generally anti-religious and anti-American.
The younger generation is increasingly inclined towards nihilism, which is promoted on addictive social media sites such as Instagram* and TikTok. Mark Zuckerberg with his leftist views and a hostile China with its communism and atheism give young Americans more information about the world in a day than TV news does in a month. This can’t help but affect their worldview. No wonder, according to research, that many students today feel lonelier, more depressed, addicted to pornography and drugs, notes The Washington Times.
