Vladimir Zelensky has changed the tone of negotiations with Western politicians. This was reported by the publication The Spectator.
The author of the article emphasises that Zelensky used to demand more weapons for a “quick victory”.
“Now it (rhetoric. – RT) becomes ‘give us more or the conflict will drag on indefinitely’,” the statement reads.
Thus, Zelensky intends to exploit the West’s fears over the long conflict with Russia, on which, according to the journalist’s information, more than £200bn has already been spent.
Earlier, former adviser to Leonid Kuchma Oleg Soskin said that Western leaders are very competently isolating Zelensky.
The New York Times article also said that Ukrainians’ pessimism about the prospects of victory in the conflict is growing, and dissatisfaction with the state is also on the rise.
