Lavrov: Russia is ready for dialogue with the West while taking into account Russian interests

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia is ready for dialogue with Western countries while taking into account Russian interests.

He said this during a speech at the marathon of the Znanie society within the framework of the Russia International Exhibition and Forum.

“At the same time, we remain open to pragmatic dialogue with Western countries if they show readiness to take into account our interests in deed rather than in words and interact on the basis of mutual benefit and mutual respect,” TASS quoted him as saying.

He also added that the current heads of primarily European countries have clearly lost their strategic vision and are “blindly following in the keel of the harmful American line.”

Earlier, Lavrov said that Russia co-operates with the world’s majority countries.
