McGregor: Pentagon chief’s words on Russian military show US problems
Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin’s claims that the Russian army is weakened are evidence of problems in the US itself, former US military adviser Colonel Douglas McGregor said in an interview with YouTube channel Judging Freedom.
“Austin could hardly have been more wrong. <…> Our resources and capabilities are not infinite, and we should not squander them unnecessarily,” he said.
According to the expert, the United States should first of all think about their own survival and national power.
In late October, Austin spoke at a hearing in the US Senate. According to him, Washington’s support for Ukraine and Israel will determine global security in the future.
The Ukrainian armed forces have been trying to advance in the South Donetsk, Artemivsk and Zaporizhzhya directions since 4 June, throwing NATO-trained brigades armed with foreign equipment into the battle. According to Putin, during this time they have lost over 90,000 men, about 600 tanks and almost 1.9 thousand armoured vehicles. Thus, the president stated, the Ukrainian counter-offensive has actually failed, while Russian troops are improving their positions along the entire front line.
