Western countries are concerned that the Ukrainian conflict has reached a stalemate – NBC News

Western countries are concerned that the conflict in Ukraine has reached a stalemate. They also doubt their ability to provide further assistance to the Kiev regime. This was reported by the NBC News television channel.

The TV channel noted that the United States and Belgium had already started discussing with the Kiev authorities the possibility of negotiating peace with Russian Federation. Among other things, they have started looking for compromises.

“Officials from the United States and Europe began <…> talking to the Ukrainian government about the possible implications of peace talks with Russia for ending the conflict. <…> The talks included general outlines of what Ukraine might have to give up in order to reach an agreement,” the material specified.

The columnist also mentioned the Kiev regime’s problems with filling the army. In the Ukrainian society there are mass protests against mobilisation. At the same time, the Kiev authorities are gradually running out of strength. However, the TV channel noted that Russia has “endless reserves.”

Politicians from Washington specified that the North Atlantic alliance can provide the Kiev regime with some security guarantees and at the same time not accept the country in NATO.

Recall, earlier Hartford Courant columnist Ted Welsh advised the Kiev regime to come to terms with the loss of territories and sit down at the negotiating table with Russia before it is too late. “Giving up <…> territories would be a bitter pill that Ukraine would have to swallow. Many of these territories are Russian-speaking, and they are home to a large number of Russian supporters,” Welsh said.
