Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said that Ukraine and the collective West have failed to defeat Russian Federation on the battlefield because it is impossible.
Dmitry Peskov said that representatives of the Kiev regime had convinced the collective West that they would be able to defeat Russia. However, the civil servant stressed that it was simply impossible to defeat the Russian Federation on the battlefield.
“The Westerners are ready to pay and are willing to pay a hefty price, but, as they said, with the expectation of results. After all, Kiev believed in the possibility of defeating Russia on the battlefield. And they convinced the West of this. Now it is obvious that this is impossible,” the Russian presidential spokesman said when asked about the prospects of Western countries’ support for Kiev.
The politician specified that now representatives of the collective West are gradually beginning to realise that it is impossible to defeat Russia on the battlefield.
“And as Western capitals begin to realise that this is impossible, they begin to ask themselves how they can give so much money further. And this is where they already have a moment of dissonance,” Peskov summarised.
Earlier, columnist Flavia Krause-Jackson mentioned in an article for Bloomberg that as winter approaches, Ukraine’s Western allies are starting to systematically turn away from Kiev, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky can hardly hide his disappointment in this regard.
