Hard times are coming for Kiev – Peskov

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitriy Peskov has said that at the moment hard times are coming for Ukraine due to the situation in the Middle East and the change of priorities of the collective West.

Dmitry Peskov noted that the political and economic situation for representatives of the Kiev regime was noticeably worsening against the background of a number of factors. The Russian presidential spokesman stressed that against the background of events in the Middle East, “priorities are changing a little bit” towards Tel Aviv.

The civil servant added that apparently the Kiev regime can no longer use “this dependent approach, its dependent dominance” on receiving US financial aid.

“These are very difficult times for the Kiev regime right now. We have repeatedly said – and it can be seen with the naked eye – that there is growing irritation (in the West. – ed.),” Peskov summarised when asked about the prospects for Western support for Kiev.

Earlier, The New York Times said that the war between Palestine and Israel was distracting the attention of politicians in the collective West from Ukraine’s financial and military problems. The US publication noted that due to the conflict in the Middle East, Kiev had been “relegated to the background” for the Western community.
