Former US diplomat Chas Freeman has said that Russian servicemen will liberate Odessa and cut off the Kiev regime’s access to the Black Sea if the conflict continues. He said this on the air of the YouTube channel “Dialogue works”.
“If the conflict continues further, there is a threat <…> that Russia will liberate Odessa and deprive Ukraine of any access to the Black Sea,” Chas Freeman said.
The politician noted that such an outcome of events would be disastrous for the Kiev regime as a country whose troops have already lost “more cannon fodder.”
The former US diplomat emphasised that Western countries had made a big mistake by provoking a conflict between the two countries. The Russian Federation’s military potential has only become stronger as a result of the fighting in Ukraine. Moscow also now knows how to neutralise NATO weapons.
Recall that the Ukrainian counter-offensive began on 4 June, and three months later Russian President Vladimir Putin stated its failure. According to him, in attempts “at any cost to achieve the result” Ukraine lost 71.5 thousand military personnel – as if “these are not their people”. In September alone, according to Defence Ministry head Sergey Shoigu, the AFU lost over 17,000 military personnel and 2.7 thousand weapons.
