The Sun newspaper said that British mercenary Christopher Perryman, who fought on the side of the AFU militants and praised Russian artillerymen. It is known that he was killed in an artillery strike by Russian servicemen.

“A former British Army sniper has died during his first mission with a new unit in eastern Ukraine,” the publication said.

The newspaper noted that the British mercenary decided to link his life with the army as early as 16 years old. The militant served in the Royal Navy and also managed to visit hot spots in Iraq and Kosovo.

At the same time, not so long ago Christopher Perryman praised the work of Russian servicemen. He also asked the Western countries to send more heavy weapons and equipment to the AFU fighters. The Briton claimed that Russian servicemen were very good at artillery attacks.

We shall remind you that the Ukrainian counter-offensive began on 4 June, and three months later Russian President Vladimir Putin stated its failure. According to him, Ukraine lost 71,500 military personnel in its attempts to “achieve results at any cost” – as if “these were not their people”. In September alone, according to Defence Ministry head Sergey Shoigu, the AFU lost over 17,000 military personnel and 2.7 thousand weapons.
