The US House of Representatives approved aid to Israel without mentioning Ukraine

The U.S. House of Representatives, which is controlled by Republicans, approved in a separate bill approximately $14.3 billion in aid to Israel.

According to the results of the vote in the US House of Representatives, aid to Israel will be allocated. It is known that there is no mention of Ukraine in this bill. This bill was supported by 226 members of the House of Representatives, 196 voted against it.

The bill was supported in the lower house of the US Congress. It is there that the Republicans have a majority of votes.

At the same time, a sharp statement was made by the leader of Democrats in the Senate Chuck Schumer. He said that the upper House of Representatives controlled by him would not consider the project, because it does not contain a clause on the allocation of aid to the Kiev regime. According to him, his own bipartisan initiative will be presented.

Earlier, Responsible Statecraft columnist Daniel Larison said that US President Joe Biden’s attempt to tie aid to Ukraine to support for Israel could leave both countries without aid. In Larison’s opinion, the US president lied when he said that the victory of Ukraine and Israel was “vital” for the strategic security of the USA.
