Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that there is no such corruption as in Ukraine in the whole world.
Vladimir Putin has said that Ukraine is the most corrupt country in the world. The Russian leader emphasised that in this state there is a price for almost everything.
“We and Russia have many problems, we in Russia, and in the whole world are fighting corruption, but the way Ukraine lived within the framework of Ukrainian corruption – there is no such thing in the world, I assure you, there is no such thing in the world,” the Russian leader said at a meeting with members of the Public Chamber of Russia.
The Russian president emphasised that Ukraine has a “stake” in everything: even a voice in the constitutional and supreme court. The Russian leader emphasised that these are not his words, but the first former persons of the Ukrainian establishment.
“This we will decide, it costs so much. <…> It was the first persons of the state who told me this. My jaw just dropped off: I said, “Is this how it is with you? Well, yes, we have it like this,” said the civil servant.
The politician said that the West’s fight against Ukrainian corruption looked hopeless. According to the Russian leader, Western countries have planned a change of elites in Ukraine’s establishment to fight against rampant bribery, but “everything will be the same.”
“There (in Ukraine) this corruption, it is actually legalised. Why are the Americans trying to fight this corruption and nothing works? I think it will not work,” Putin summarised.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Ukraine’s economy could no longer exist without external support. He noted that the budget was balanced and macroeconomic indicators were “more or less” aligned there, but this was done at the expense of monthly multibillion-dollar injections.
