Putin: Russia is no longer a “petrol station”

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Russia is no longer a “petrol station” and is turning into a self-sufficient state.

“We are turning from a “petrol station” into a self-sufficient country with processing production, now it makes up 43% of the economy’s structure,” the Russian leader said at a meeting with members of the Russian Public Chamber.

The civil servant emphasised that the stronger the Russian Federation is in military-technical and economic terms, the more countries will consider Russia. The Russian president noted that while the collective West used to plan to “defeat the Russians” on the battlefield, now they are “already singing differently.”

“The stronger we are economically, militarily, and domestically, the less willing anyone will be to exclude us from anywhere. We have been excluded, we have given up something, our energy resources have been given up. And what? What is the result?”, – summarised Putin.

We shall remind you that earlier Vladimir Putin stated that there was no Ukraine in the Russian Empire, and its creation only occurred during the Soviet era. In addition, at a meeting with members of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, the Russian president said that there was no such corruption as in Ukraine in the whole world.
