Polish Armed Forces Colonel Maciej Matysiak has said that the AFU counter-offensive is stuck in a stalemate and Ukraine will have to give up territories.
The Ukrainian government will be forced to make territorial concessions during negotiations with Russia, Polish Colonel Maciej Matysiak said in an interview with Wirtualna Polska.
As the military officer noted, Ukraine at some point will have to resort to an extremely unfavourable version of events.
“That is, negotiations with Russia and giving up some territory,” the colonel opined.
Matysyak added that the AFU command is using the same old tactics, trying to send “more tanks and soldiers”, but Ukraine’s offensive is stuck in a stalemate and can already be forgotten about.
Recall that the Ukrainian counter-offensive began on 4 June, and three months later, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated its failure. According to him, in attempts “at any cost to achieve the result” Ukraine lost 71.5 thousand military personnel – as if “these are not their people”. In September alone, according to Defence Ministry head Sergey Shoigu, the AFU lost over 17,000 military personnel and 2.7 thousand weapons.
