Defence One reported that in June Ukraine received 1,000 152 mm shells from a Bulgarian company through the Polish government’s Strategic Reserves Agency.

Ukraine buys weapons from its partners at highly inflated prices, the Defence One website has reported, citing data from the trade aggregator Import Genius.

“Ukraine is paying exorbitant prices for Soviet-designed equipment,” the publication said.

Thus, according to the aggregator, in June Ukraine received a thousand 152 millimetre calibre shells from a Bulgarian company through the Polish government’s Strategic Reserves Agency. Each of these shells cost Ukraine about 3,000 dollars. According to experts, Russia pays three times less for exactly the same ammunition. At the same time, experts estimate that Russia pays about three times less for exactly the same ammunition.
