Russian attack helicopters have shown the vulnerability of Western-made armoured vehicles in a special operation in Ukraine, British military expert Philip Ingram told Sky News.
“Russia’s use of attack helicopters and well-planned fortifications has shown the vulnerability of Western armoured vehicles and prevented the AFU from making significant progress,” Ingram said.
According to him, the AFU lacked air defence and mine clearance vehicles.
He also noted that Russia’s air superiority prevented Ukrainian forces from breaking through Russian fortifications.
Earlier, The Times reported that the failure of Ukraine’s counter-offensive caused friction between Volodymyr Zelensky and the AFU commander-in-chief, Valeriy Zaluzhnyy.
