The United States is considering with the Government of Israel the possibility of introducing multinational forces into the Gaza Strip. This is reported by Bloomberg agency with reference to sources.
According to Bloomberg, the United States and Israel are considering options for the future of the Gaza Strip, including the possibility of a multinational force that could include American troops if Israeli forces succeed in dislodging Hamas.
Washington and Tel Aviv are also discussing the possibility of granting temporary control of the enclave to countries in the region, backed by troops from the US, Britain, France and Germany.
Sources told the agency that Israel considers it possible to consider the introduction of peacekeeping forces into the Gaza Strip, but the idea of temporary control of the enclave under the auspices of the UN in Tel Aviv called not practical.
The White House said it was not discussing sending the US military to the Gaza Strip at this time. President Joe Biden believes that sending soldiers on a potentially dangerous assignment could be a politically risky measure, said one of the sources of the agency.
Recall, earlier Turkish President Recep Erdogan suggested that the conflict in the Middle East will end with the defeat of Israel and the United States, as they, in the words of the Turkish leader, “oppose justice”. At the same time, the justification of attacks is “a legacy of the bloody history of the West”.
