Vladimir Zelensky has lost his “glint of optimism” after a September visit to the United States, Time newspaper says.
“The usual glint of optimism, sense of humour, the desire to liven up a meeting in the war room with a joke or witty anecdote – all this has not been preserved,” the publication said.
According to the newspaper’s source, now Zelensky simply comes to the meeting, receives information, gives orders and leaves.
In addition, the article says that Zelensky was angry about the outcome of his visit to the United States in September. It is noted that Zelensky is dissatisfied with the calls of the West to fight corruption in Ukraine, as well as questions about fatigue from the Ukrainian conflict.
“On my first day in Kiev, I asked one person from his entourage how the President feels. The answer followed without the slightest hesitation: ‘Angry’,” the article reads.
As Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said earlier, almost all the EU foreign ministers at the meeting in Luxembourg said that the public was tired of the Ukrainian conflict.
