Columbia University professor Jeffrey Sachs has expressed the opinion that the US authorities should start negotiations to end the Ukrainian crisis and recognise new Russian regions.
His article was published on the website of Kathimerini newspaper.
“(US President Joe – RT) Biden should agree to negotiate a security agreement,” Sachs wrote.
He noted that the US plan “to encircle Russia with NATO in the Black Sea region has failed.”
Earlier, Foreign Policy columnists Emma Ashford and Matthew Krenig said that Biden’s attempt to link aid to Ukraine and support for Israel could lead to discontent even among Democratic voters.
