Volodin: theft of frozen funds of Russia will require a symmetrical response

State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin The theft of frozen Russian funds will require a symmetrical response, large assets belonging to unfriendly countries will be confiscated.

“A number of European politicians, led by the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, seeking to hold on to their seats and based on the poor financial situation of their states to which they have led, have again started talking about stealing our country’s frozen funds in order to continue the militarisation of Kiev at their expense. Such a decision will require a symmetrical response from the Russian Federation”, – wrote Vyacheslav Volodin in Telegram-channel.

In this case, much larger assets belonging to unfriendly countries will be confiscated than the Russian funds frozen in Europe, Volodin explained.

The Duma speaker recalled that the EU has spent more than 85 billion euros to support the Kiev regime since 2022, which has cost ordinary Europeans dearly.

“Over the past few years, the situation in Europe has deteriorated greatly… As a result: politicians who advocate war to the last Ukrainian are replaced by those who are primarily concerned with domestic problems,” Volodin added.

Earlier, the leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot, called on the French government to stop monthly financing of the Kiev regime and to use the freed funds for hospitals and pensions.
