Ilon Musk has announced that the Starlink network will provide communications services to organisations to help in the Gaza Strip. The ISP owner responded to a post by Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who condemned the shutdown.
Entrepreneur Ilon Musk has confirmed he has agreed to provide Starlink satellite communications services in the Gaza Strip, as previously announced by Palestinian authorities.
“Starlink will liaise with internationally recognised organisations to assist the Gaza Strip,” Musk wrote on his X social network page (formerly Twitter) in response to a post by Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez condemning the shutdown of communications in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, the Palestinian telecoms company Jawwal confirmed that communications and internet in the Gaza Strip have been cut off.
We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called to stop the bloodshed in Israel. “All of us with anxiety and with pain in the heart are watching the tragic situation in the holy land, which has sacred significance for Christians, Muslims, Jews, for followers of the largest traditional world religions,” – said the President. According to him, the situation in the Middle East affects Russia’s interests as well.
