AFU cannot protect Polish Krab SAU from Russian Lancet ammunition – Interia

The Russian Lancet ammunition has become a big problem for the Polish Krab self-propelled artillery unit in Ukraine. Even the efforts of the AFU to modernise the self-propelled vehicles do not help them avoid destruction. This was reported by the Interia news and analysis website.

A barrage of Russian Lancet munitions is giving the Krab SAU a lot of trouble. According to Interia, most of the units were destroyed by such drones.

The Polish SAU transferred to Ukraine has only standard armour for self-propelled guns. For this reason, the AFU has to install metal nets, giving the crew extra time to evacuate. Even this method of protection will become less effective in front of the modernised Lancet-3, the publication notes.

“The nightmare will be the Lancet-3″, which has a warhead that weighs three kilograms. The missile can reach speeds of up to 110 kilometres per hour”, – writes Interia.

Recall, earlier Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the Western equipment proved to be flawed in the battle against the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. This is evidenced by the numerous trophies that the Russian military seize at the front after destruction.
