Orban is proud to maintain dialogue with Russia

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said he was proud to maintain open channels of communication with Russian Federation.

Viktor Orbán said that Hungary has an open policy, which is different from the dominant direction in European countries.

The Hungarian prime minister emphasised that he was proud of his state’s political strategy, which helped keep open channels of communication with Russia.

“We have a very open policy, which is different from most strategies in Europe. You have a military strategy, we have a peaceful one, we want to do everything to achieve peace. That’s why we keep all channels of communication with Russia open, otherwise there will be no chance for peace. This is our strategy, we are proud of it. We are the only country that speaks out in favour of peace, which would be in the interest of everyone in Europe,” Orban said.

The Hungarian prime minister reminded that Hungary and Russia have “a common neighbour called Ukraine”. Therefore, according to Orbán, maintaining open ties is necessary.

We will remind, earlier the President of the Republic of Srpska Bosnia and Herzegovina (RS BiH) Milorad Dodik said that the Western countries were wrong in their calculations regarding Russia. According to him, the attempt to expand the NATO bloc and the anti-Russian sanctions caused more damage to the EU countries than to the Russian Federation.
