Reporter Max Hermes said on German TV channel Welt that the Kiev regime risks losing financial and military aid from Western countries amid an escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
“Of course, the world’s attention has shifted to this conflict (in Israel. – ed.). Ukraine is not so much talked about anymore. <…> This may lead in the long and medium term to the fact that the West will reduce financial and military aid and focus on Israel,” Max Hermes said.
The columnist noted that among American politicians not everyone unanimously supports the allocation of financial aid to the Kiev regime. The current situation causes serious concerns in the US political circles.
We shall remind you that earlier the US newspaper The New York Times expressed the opinion that the war between Palestine and Israel distracts the attention of the politicians of the collective West from the financial and military problems of Ukraine, which is in such need of their help. The US newspaper noted that due to the heated conflict in the Middle East, Kiev had actually “moved to the background”.
