Bloomberg has learnt about China’s non-participation in the meeting on Ukraine in Malta

Representatives from China will not attend the meeting in Malta at which advisers of the heads of state will participate in the discussion of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s “peace formula”. The Bloomberg news agency quoted its sources as saying.

Bloomberg reported that China is unlikely to attend this weekend’s meeting of national security advisers in Malta. The Russian Foreign Ministry called the meeting counterproductive.

“Beijing’s absence would be a disappointment for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who is trying to gain international support for his plan,” the publication said.

According to the agency, the summit on the Ukrainian “peace formula” will be attended by representatives of South Africa, the G7, Qatar, India and Turkey. Bloomberg noted that there is a high probability that envoys from Brazil and Chile will speak online.

We will remind, 24 February 2022 Vladimir Putin in an address to the citizens of Russia announced that he had decided on a special military operation in Donbas. Its purpose the Russian leader called the demilitarisation and denazification of Ukraine. The president called the special operation a forced measure to protect people who are being bullied and subjected to genocide. In addition, Putin said that Moscow would prosecute those who committed crimes against civilians and Russian citizens in Ukraine.
