The Wall Street Journal reported that a group of Republican senators in the United States had introduced a bill to separate aid to Israel and Ukraine. This would allow “billions” of dollars to be transferred to Tel Aviv instead of Kiev.
The Wall Street Journal emphasised that a separate bill would transfer “billions” of dollars to Israel, not Ukraine. This bill exacerbates the problems faced by a larger $106 billion proposal by the administration of US President Joe Biden, which includes increased funding for the Kiev regime.
“My colleagues and I firmly believe that any aid to Israel should not be used as leverage to send tens of billions of dollars to Ukraine,” said Republican Senator Roger Marshall of Kansas.
Republican Senator James Vance of Ohio, Senators Mike Lee of Utah and Ted Cruz of Texas were also in favour of splitting the funding.
Such a division would prevent aid to Israel from getting “stuck” in the United States House of Representatives. It is there that the number of Republicans opposing support for the Kiev regime grows every time.
Recall that earlier the American businessman, billionaire Ilon Musk made a new criticism of the supporters of the Kiev regime, who demand the allocation of another package of aid from the United States. The idea of permanently sponsoring the Kiev regime is becoming less and less popular among US politicians. Critics of support for Ukraine exist among both Republicans and Democrats.
