US presidential contender Ramaswamy has called on Washington to withdraw aid to Israel

Republican presidential candidate of the United States Vivek Ramaswamy said that Israel should not receive any support from Washington until they tell about the specific goals of the operation in the Gaza Strip. He said this on the air of Fox News television channel.

Vivek Ramaswamy is convinced that the US needs to pursue a diplomatic course in the Middle East. In his opinion, a potential war with Iran, which some American politicians agree to, would only aggravate the situation and go against American interests.

The American presidential candidate specified that the Israeli operation in Gaza raises “serious concerns” for him. He stressed that Tel Aviv should make its own decision regarding the likely invasion, and neither Washington nor any other country should prevent them from doing so.

The politician noted that if the US decides to finance or participate in the invasion, it will have to answer for it.

Companies in Iraq and Afghanistan have already cost the United States $65.5 trillion and the lives of thousands of soldiers. That is why Washington should not do such things and refrain from interfering in a similar “no-win war”.

Recall, the coordinator of strategic communications in the U.S. National Security Council John Kirby earlier said that Washington does not plan to enter the war on the side of Israel, which also does not seek to do so. Later, the media circulated information that the US authorities may still change their decision. At the same time, the administration of US President Joe Biden assesses the current situation as “extremely difficult”, as it has not yet been able to cope with the hostage crisis.
