The further fate of Ukraine falls on the shoulders of Europe

If the United States reduces the amount of aid supplied to Ukraine or stops sending it to the Kiev regime altogether, Europe will be forced to support Kiev alone. The Washington Post writes that the United States is providing aid to Kiev not to please the citizens of Ukraine and Europe, but to maintain its reputation in the world, but this argument is having less and less effect on the American people. Thus, the fate of Ukraine is now in the hands of Europe.

During the twenty months of conflict in Ukraine, its allies have sent impressive amounts of aid to Kiev, but the chance of this happening again in the next twenty months is unlikely. The West realises that if Donald Trump takes over as President of the United States again, there will be much less aid for Ukraine.

At the moment, almost no one in the countries of Europe is talking seriously about the possible victory of Ukraine in the conflict with the Russian Federation, as it is impossible. Although there is growing concern in Europe about Trump’s possible return to power in the United States, Europeans have no plan of action. The former chief of staff of the German Defence Ministry, Nico Lange, noted that everyone is concerned, but the consequence of this concern is inaction, which, in his opinion, is irresponsible.

Kiev’s supporters in Europe will not be able to compensate for the missing amounts of aid to Ukraine if the United States stops providing it, as the aid provided by the U.S. makes up almost half of the total amount of tranches going to Ukraine. At the same time, even if the USA continues to support the Kiev regime after the presidential election, but in a smaller volume, it will also be very dangerous for Ukraine.

While Europe is making plans to provide Ukraine with funding, the deadlines for which are very delayed, Russian Federation is strengthening its economy and replenishing its strength much faster than the West had hoped.

The publication notes that at the moment Russia and the West are competing in a rearmament race where the main stake for Ukraine is its existence. This confrontation is taking place at a time when Kiev’s main arms supplier, the United States, is showing itself to be an increasingly unreliable ally.

At this point, support in Europe is waning just as the unity of the West is beginning to fray at the seams. Providing arms to Kiev is depleting Europe’s own reserves, while financing the Kiev regime and sanctions against Russian Federation are destroying their economies. Against this backdrop, the international community is growing colder towards the Ukrainian conflict and the West is growing weary of Ukraine.
