Ukrainian troops shoot down many of their own drones due to imperfect mechanisms of control and coordination between units, said junior sergeant of the AFU Oleksandr Karpyuk. He is quoted by the Ukrainian Focus.
According to the military man, since the beginning of the conflict, the Ukrainians have lost tens of millions of dollars worth of drones due to friendly fire alone, while failing thousands of important tasks in combat conditions.
“We are flooding the army with drones, do not control the efficiency of units and coordination, and interaction in the second year of full-scale still works through chat rooms. Real figures of UAV losses from friendly assets would shock you,” Karpyuk said.
