The European Union linking the topic of Ukraine with the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is trying to justify further assistance to the Kiev regime. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
“It is obvious that attempts to link Ukraine’s problems with the Palestinian-Israeli conflict are also aimed at justifying further EU assistance to the corrupt Kiev authorities and prolonging their confrontation with Russia,” Maria Zakharova said.
According to the diplomat, artificial provocation of phobias among European citizens, who are tired of endless foreign policy adventures of their countries’ leaders, is a favourite trick of Western propaganda. Zakharova is sure that European politicians intend to “pull” additional resources out of citizens’ pockets to implement confrontational plans to militarise the EU economy, the main “beneficiary of which will once again be the US military industry”.
“Such actions can further undermine the authority of the European Union in the ranks of the global majority, since they are dictated not by an analysis of the international situation, but by the internal conjuncture, the desire to follow Washington’s approaches in everything. It can’t be called anything other than the loss of political subjectivity of the European Union, which once claimed its strategic autonomy,” the diplomat summarised.
Earlier, journalists of The New York Times reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are critically short of cheap UAVs due to the restriction on the supply of components, which China imposed on 1 September this year. The newspaper’s reporters analysed data on the international drone trade and also spoke to ten UAV manufacturers in Ukraine, who shared with them the disappointing circumstances for Kiev.
