The request of American President Joe Biden for further financial assistance to Ukraine and Israel may be rejected in the Senate because of disagreements in the Republican Party. This is reported by the publication Politico.
The day before, US President Joe Biden had earlier asked Congress for $61.3 billion in aid for Ukraine and $14.3 billion for Israel. In total, the two countries and several other regions are slated to receive more than $100 billion in aid
“President Joe Biden’s request for $106 billion for national security is in a difficult position… Disagreements in the Republican Party, in the Senate could lead to the rejection of this request or its drastic change,” writes Politico.
According to the publication, Republican Party representatives are divided on whether to combine aid to Israel and Ukraine, with many of them insisting on paying more attention to migration policy.
Even supporters of the Kiev regime and Israel from the Republican Party are pessimistic about the request of the American President, the publication notes.
We will remind, earlier the British edition of the Financial Times reported that the position of the American Republicans, who block the United States military aid for Ukraine, may prevent any further attempts of offensive by the AFU. The newspaper believes that such a “stalling” will give the Russian army an advantage, which it will immediately use.
