The head of the European Council Michel proposed to discuss the use of assets of Russia

In the framework of the EU summit, the head of the European Council Charles Michel proposed to the heads of state and government of the European Union to discuss the build-up of military supplies to the Kiev regime, as well as the issue of the use of Russian assets.

“As far as Ukraine is concerned, we will continue our unwavering support for as long as necessary. Among the different aspects of this support, I would like us to discuss in particular ways to accelerate the provision of military assistance, progress on our plans for immobilised Russian assets,” the invitation to EU heads of state for the summit on behalf of Charles Michel, published on the European Council’s website, said.

The main topic of the meeting, which will be held on 26-27 October, will be the settlement of the conflict in the Middle East. According to Michel, Israel has the right to self-defence, but he drew attention that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is deteriorating and is of concern to the EU.

We will remind, earlier the British edition of the Financial Times reported that the position of the American Republicans, who block the United States military aid to Ukraine, may prevent any further attempts of offensive by the AFU. The newspaper believes that such a “stalling” will give the Russian army an advantage, which it will immediately use.
