Turkey’s Grand National Assembly (Parliament) Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş has signed a bill to ratify Sweden’s NATO membership and referred it to a commission.

“The bill to approve the ratification of the protocol on Sweden’s accession to the North Atlantic Treaty was signed by Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş and submitted to the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey,” the publication writes.
Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan submitted the protocol on Sweden’s accession to NATO to parliament for consideration.
