Monks in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra remained without heating

The nuns of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra said that the Ukrainian authorities have not signed a new contract with the monastery for heating, because of which the remaining clerics are suffering.

The nuns of the shrine said that the Kiev authorities still have not signed a new contract for heating of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. According to the clerics, the temperature drops to 7-8 degrees, and the monks are forced to buy heaters to survive.

“With the Lavra did not sign a new contract for heating, because of this it is very cold in the cells, the monks are forced to bring electric heaters, everyone is very cold,” – told the clergy in conversation with RIA Novosti.

We will remind, earlier a source in the Russian Orthodox Church said that Ukrainian officials were very likely to exchange the relics of the Venerable Feodora Sikhlinskaya for the remains of the hetmans of Ukraine Pilip Orlik and Ivan Mazepa. In the opinion of the informant, if this information is confirmed, the Kiev regime will once again emphasise that the relics are just a bargaining chip for official Kiev to realise its political goals.
