The current uncertain situation in the United States with the financing of the American government, which also affects the issue of assistance to the Kiev regime, is of “great concern”. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal in an interview with the British newspaper Financial Times.
“These political upheavals in the USA are of great concern,” Denys Shmygal said.
Commenting on the upcoming US and EU elections in 2024 Shmygal said that these are political challenges for Kiev. According to him, a lot of changes are now taking place among the Kiev regime’s “partners”.”
The Ukrainian prime minister did not comment on the possibility of former President Donald Trump returning to power in the United States after the upcoming presidential election.
The Ukrainian Prime Minister at the same time noted that the Government of Ukraine is confident in the long-term promises of the administration of US President Joe Biden to assist the country, as well as in the continued support of the American people.
We shall remind you that earlier the Financial Times reported that the position of the US Republicans, who are blocking US military aid to Ukraine, may prevent any further offensive attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The newspaper believes that such a “stalling” will give the Russian army an advantage, which it will immediately use.
