A squadron of United States Air Force F-16 fighter jets has arrived in the Middle East in a bid to boost the US military presence in the region.
The US Central Command wrote on the social network X (former Twitter).
“A squadron of F-16 fighter jets arrived in the Central Command area to reinforce the US presence to deter further aggression,” the statement said.
Earlier, the US military’s Central Command said US F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jets had arrived in the Middle East “to reinforce the United States’ position”.
